Job Description

At Semikron-Danfoss we manufacture power modules for our customers in the automotive, energy and industrial sectors. For our Automotive division, we are looking for a newly created leadership opportunity based in one of our sites in Flensburg or Nuremberg, Germany.

Job Responsibilities

As a Director of Customer Quality (m/f/d), you will champion an exceptional customer experience journey within our Automotive division. This pivotal role involves leading a global team of 12 individuals, including 5 managers, to enhance customer satisfaction by fostering close collaboration with sales, engineering, and operations. Your core responsibilities include:
 

  • Leading and nurturing your team as the primary point of contact for customer feedback and enhancements. You will lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives to address quality issues swiftly, ensuring minimal customer impact.
  • Crafting and implementing a comprehensive global customer quality improvement strategy with a gentle touch, aiming to elevate our customers´ experience at every touchpoint.
  • Engaging proactively with customers, traveling to assess product applications firsthand and fostering meaningful connections to understand their needs.
  • Advocating for the organization's 8D completion process, gently guiding and facilitating lessons learned through meticulous root cause analysis.
  • Collaborating closely with sales to establish customer trust and transparency by sharing strategic roadmaps and resolving issues promptly.

Background & Skills

We are seeking a candidate who holds a degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, process engineering, or a related technical field, complemented by extensive experience in a customer quality leadership role within the automotive sector. Additionally, we value:
 

  • Experience in a full-scope IATF 16949 business environment, preferably with an ISO/TS 16949 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies and a dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Fluent business English skills, with proficiency in German considered advantageous.
