Due to the dynamic development of Danfoss Shared Service Center, we are looking for the new colleague - R2R GL Accountant.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing general ledger operational tasks for Danfoss entities located in NER or TMA regions.

Job Responsibilities

• Record, verify daily operations and business within General ledger activates,
• Preparation and review of journal entries, calculating accruals/provisions related to period-end activities,
• Handle General Ledger activities such as: perform period-end procedures of month, quarter, year-end closing activities for non-complex entities, fixed assets handling,
• balance sheet reconciliation, sub-ledgers to GL reconciliations, reporting, etc.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting and operational guidelines, as well as IFRS and local statutory GAAP,
• Overseeing bank accounts incl. unapplied and unreconciled Items,
• Checking and analyzing SAP details on an ongoing basis to be able to catch any potential posting errors or process issues
• Intercompany and loan reconciliations, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions,
• Support the execution of activities related to internal and external audit requirements,
• Work with local or SSC finance teams to resolve discrepancies and queries for related accounting issues in a timely manner,
• Comply with standards, policies and procedures defined,
• Assisting in developing and implementing processes and procedures.

Background & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting, Economics or recognized accounting qualification
• + 4 years professional experience in finance& accounting, including +2 year experience in general ledger at similar position in a multinational company or SSC
• Good skills (B2) in spoken and written English (other languages are welcome)
• Practical knowledge of integrated ERP system
• Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work with deadlines and stress situations
• Teamwork and ability to work in changing environment with different cultures
• Customer focus and good communication skills
• Ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities
• Proactivity and analytical skills.
