Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Control firmware and algorithm development.
  • Specification, implementation, and verification of SW-modules.
  • Co-operation with other departments on local and global level.
  • Implementation of Real Time Ethernet fieldbus systems/stacks (EtherCAT; Profinet; PowerLink, EthernetIP).
  • Designing of Scripts and Tools for Automation.
  • Specify and author test cases for our high-performance motion drives
  • Verify the correct functionality of drive software in all phases of development.

Background & Skills

  • Educational Background in Electronics, Information Technology, or equivalent culture.
  • Strong knowledge of the C/C++ - language.
  • Expertise in several of the following fields:

firmware development for embedded systems.

- software testing methods (e.g., Hardware In Loop testing).

- embedded real-time systems and tools.

- Real Time Ethernet fieldbus systems (e.g., EtherCAT; Profinet; PowerLink; EthernetIP).

- FPGA design.

  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) – the knowledge of German language is a plus.
