Project Engineering Intern

Job Description

Danfoss in Tallahassee, FL is searching for a Project Engineering Intern. This internship will provide the intern with professional internship experience in preparation for their future career development. This will be accomplished by learning how to manage projects, work in a business environment, work in a cross‐functional team, create project plans, create reports, complete tasks, drive action, and assist Change Control Process. During the internship, the intern will be mentored by the Project Manager within the Change Control Office, focused on development and implementation of product design improvements.

Job Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

• Support Project Managers in the creation, execution, and maintenance of engineering projects.
• Assist in creation and management of project schedules, budgets, and documents.
• Follow up with project team members to drive completion of work to deadlines.
• Support project status and engineering testing report creation and analysis.
• Support the improvement of business processes and tools.
• Assist project teams with cross-functional responsibilities as needed to ensure successful project execution.
• Other business and project activities as needed by the Continuous Improvement Office.
• Shadow Team Leads and Supervisor to Develop Leadership Skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering/STEM field.
• Availability to work 40 hours/week during the Summer semester and 20 hours/week during the Spring/Fall semester. Business hours are M-F 8-5.
• Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the Tallahassee work location.
• Leadership experience preferred.
