We have an immediate opportunity for a Field Application Engineer (m/f/d) to join us at our team in Nuremberg.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Support of our customers in the design, layout and optimization of power electronic systems and subsystems (e.g. intelligent power modules) for use in industrial applications with a focus on regenerative energies and drive technology
- Customer support for the integration of the product portfolio (IPM, stack, driver) into own complete systems
- On-site troubleshooting and analysis in customer systems (focus: wind, solar, EV charging, drives) and further analysis and testing in the laboratories at the Nuremberg site and the international sites in France, USA, India and Brazil.
- Coordination of product specifications, load profiles and performance data (internally and with customers)
- Creation of technical documentation and application notes

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
- University degree in power electronics or comparable qualification
- Many years of professional experience in design, layout and field application support of power electronic subsystems and complete systems (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC converters) in the power range of 500kW and higher
- Knowledge of common technical standards (e.g. DIN EN 62477-1)
- Willingness to travel (regionally and internationally)
- Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Interdisciplinary competence, analytical and methodical way of working
- Independent, self-reliant work and initiative
- Confident and communicative team player
