Danfoss’ newest business unit – White Drives Motors & Steering is a standalone business that consists of three locations -- Hopkinsville, Kentucky, U.S.; Wroclaw, Poland; and Parchim, Germany. As part of the announced acquisition of Eaton Hydraulics, White Drives Motors & Steering will be divested from Danfoss by the end of 3Q 2021 to ensure all regulatory approvals are met. 

This position is expected to remain with White Drives Motors & Steering. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Danfoss’ plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Danfoss when the transaction closes, the new owner of White Drive Motors & Steering will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

White Drives Motors & Steering is looking for a Site Services Technician our Hopkinsville, KY location. This role will deliver world class IT service and support to the employees of White Drive Motors & Steering who are located across the global.  They will ensure end user satisfaction and continued business operation by delivering full, end-to-end resolution of incidents and requests as well as provide technical support for White Drive Motors & Steering office and manufacturing environments via phone, email, chat or in-person. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
•    Provide general local on-site and hands-on IT support at our facility in Hopkinsville, also assisting in the resolution of IT infrastructure incidents.
•    Receive, register, and work on user service requests by Phone, Email and other channels acting as first and second lines of support.
•    Work and follow-up on Incidents, Service Requests, Problems, and other tasks that may be assigned
•    Advise, guide and/or instruct users in the usage of products, systems, and technology (software & hardware)
•    Ensure proper escalation and handover of cases from second line to the correct expert (third line).
•    Responsibility for administration of users, systems, and user rights in accordance with White Drive Motors & Steering Standards.
•    Identify errors and provide high quality IT solutions
•    Ensure compliance with security policies as described in White Drive Motors & Steering Standards as related to PC clients, and other White Drive Motors & Steering IT systems and report any breaches to White Drive Motors & Steering Security

Success Criteria:
•    Achieve goals/targets defined as IT KPIs and Global Service Desk KPIs
•    Resolve Incidents, Service Requests, and other tasks within their deadlines
•    Good relationship with business partners and co-workers
•    Show strong performance and development in all planned objectives
 

Background & Skills

•    2-year degree in IT related field plus 2-3 years of experience (required)
•    Bachelor’s degree in IT related field (preferred)
•    Customer oriented with good communication skills
•    Able to adapt quickly in response to business demands
•    Able to flex working style as needed, while maintaining positive working relationships
•    Self-driven and able to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
•    In-depth understanding of PC architecture and basic understanding of IT infrastructure concepts
•    Knowledge and experience in ITIL
•    Technical experience supporting users in first- and second-line support
•    Technical experience supporting IT hardware and software including but not limited to Microsoft products and solutions such as Windows OS, Office and Outlook in a Microsoft Exchange environment, Cisco Unified Communications, Mobile Management solutions, network connectivity and infrastructure
