Job Description

 

Danfoss is offering you an exciting career opportunity as a Process Engineer on our Assembly and Remanufacturing (Reman) Team. You will play an extremely important role as you will ensure all processes in terms of manufacturing, Reman part recovery, and quality run efficiently. 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Ensuring maximum efficiency through proper work force utilization, space management, equipment, and workplace designs layout   
  • Preparing and presenting Capital Expenditure Proposals (AFE) 
  • Evaluate new processes for Reman part recovery
  • Working with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts 
  • Estimating production times, staffing requirements and related costs  
  • Applying statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential 
  • Developing processes, creating, and implementing tool designs to support new products or process improvements 
  • Development of process controls and poke yokes to ensure proper assembly and customer quality 
  • Ensure tools and process are safety and ergonomically friendly 
  • Utilizing electronic solutions where appropriate (Light Curtains, PLC’s, Vision Systems, etc.) 

Background & Skills

 

  • BA/BS degree specialized in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering 
  • 2 to 4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of experience and training 
  • Ability to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures 
  • Practical and logical approach to problem-solving 
  • Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills 
  • Project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • SAP and warehouse management (would be an advantage)
