Job Description

 

Danfoss is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technology & Maintenance Manager based in Apodaca, MX. This position is accountable for keeping a reliable performance of machines and processes through a close co-operation with stakeholdes from; operation, quality, procurement and external suppliers. Drive towards a higher Innovation rate within a Global context and utilize the Global network to improve and standardize. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • TS complliance, ensure that all needed documents are created for each manufacturing process
  • Ensure that projects are running smoothly and allocated needed ressources and management attention to relevant tasks         
  • CAPEX, support & run equipment investment projects (from pre-investigation to execution)
  • Quality Improvements, drive activities that improve quality in the production, customer PPM and internal scrap & rework
  • Implement maintenance strategies together with Maintenance, procedures and methods. Using logic reasonning to identify the strenghts and weaknesess of alternative solutions, conclusions or approcahes to problems.
  • Keep machines updated and determine causes of operation stops and lead improvements to OEE
    Equipment support, support to shop floor / production (SOP, Bom (bill of materials), Routing, IT, Tools and Machine drawings, tools and spare parts ordering)
  • Determine process steps and flow to move from inputs to expected output
  • Determine method to complete each process step (e.g., machine-based, people- based or combination)
  • Provide and maintain tools to perform each process step (e.g., SOPs, tooling, training)
  • Monitor and continuously improve processes to ensure expected output targets or implement corrective action
  • Provide detailed data collection and analysis (time studies, material flow, waste analysis)

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • At least 4+ years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Able to be pro-active throughout the project process to deliver results and take ownership.
  • Team player with the ability to cooperate on all levels of the organization (shop floor to management).
  • Familiar with basic hand tools, sensors, vision and other common assembly operation equipment and components.
  • 6-10 years of experience in this position
  • Operational lean leadership knowledge
  • QMS, RCPS
  • ISO, APQP
  • Continuous Improvement
