Job Description

 

Danfoss is looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. You will be expected to excel in a fast pace, growing company and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.  You will need to have outstanding interpersonal communication skills to deal with  co-workers and suppliers.

 

In this position you will drive development of a zero defect quality mindset within suppliers and SQEs, overall continuous improvement process related to supplier quality, promote cohesion and development of the SQE team through  leadership, drive the Supplier PPAP and Claim handling process on components and Products after M5 and train suppliers on Danfoss requirement.
 

Job Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Receiving and responding on change requests from suppliers
    - Drive the approval process with internal stakeholders
    - Communicate the result of the request to the Supplier
  • Follow up on the progress of the SPAPP activities related to the supplier
    - Registration of Supplier documents in SAP
    - Request relevant Supplier PPAP documents 
    - Ensure that all Quality requirements are understood by the Supplier
    - Assess and give Approval of the SPPAP documents and upload to SAP
    - Sign the PSW and send it to the Supplier as an approval for mass production
  • Supplier claim handling
    - Evaluate failures against the part specification and Danfoss non-part requirements
    - Identify the level of 8D required - 3D analysis, 5D analysis or 8D analysis
    - Control that containment, corrective and preventive actions are implemented, verified and validated (8D)
  • Handle supplier requests of waivers
    - Collect relevant information about the deviation
    - Secure relevant functions to give inputs before final approval
    - Secure Supplier waivers being signed by responsible person
  • Conducting technical audits at Suppliers
