Within Danfoss Power Solutions, we are looking for an enthusiastic Sourcing Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our diverse team.
Job Responsibilities
As our Sourcing Project Manager, you will lead project teams to secure contractual agreements to meet the business needs. You will lead supplier simplification projects and execution of activities to optimize productivity, quality and fulfilment through strategic supplier relationships. This is a unique opportunity to work with sourcing, cost-down, outsourcing and change management projects and support Danfoss. You can expect the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with global partners to ensure the optimization of direct materials going into product manufacturing;
- Lead development/execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for direct materials and services. Ensure optimal quality, cost productivity and fulfilment;
- Lead project execution with cross functional project teams, local and global;
- End-to-end responsibility to lead, manage, and facilitate business unit projects related to external suppliers for domestic and overseas projects. This includes successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of the projects;
- Assist in negotiating and creating supplier agreements (RFIs, RFQs, NDA’s, Purchase, Logistics and Price agreements);
- Drive spend analysis activities identifying strategic sourcing opportunities within assigned categories;
- Develop both short and long-term strategy discussions for applicable direct materials;
- Effective and proactive liaison with other relevant functions/departments to identify and implement projects and other relevant purchasing items;
- Building and developing strong and mutually beneficial partnerships with internal stakeholders and our key suppliers;
- Strategic development of key suppliers related to Turned parts, raw materials. This includes specific procurement activities for subcontractors including plating, heat treatment.
Background & Skills
To be successful, we expect you to possess a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related business degree. We prefer to see a minimum of 2 – 5 years of relevant work experience in supply chain or strategic sourcing. Additionally, we are looking for:
- Experience with sourcing Turned parts, castings composites and or metals is preferred;
- Abel to read and interpretate basic print information and engineering drawings and schematics is also preferred;
- Able to create and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple functions (R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain).
- Represent Danfoss Procurement and Procurement topics in a professional, concise and fain manner towards our vendors;
- Familiar with Microsoft Office. Preferably also with SAP ERP;
- Have a practical level of understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier management and project management. If you have an ISM CPSM certification is a bonus, not required;
- Good fluent (in word and writing) language skills for the German and English language.
