Job Description

As part of the Global Account Organization, you will have the distinct responsibility to lead one of our largest cross segment global customer relationships. Acting as the primary advocate of the customer, The Global Account Director (GAD) is responsible for establishing and managing all strategic relations focused on leveraging the Danfoss value proposition and increasing customer satisfaction.
This position will develop and drive a global account strategy that delivers profitable growth while meeting the expectations of all relevant Danfoss Segment and business unit stakeholders.
This is a highly visible sales leadership position that reports to the Sr. Vice President, Danfoss Global Accounts.
 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
•    Lead a dedicated Danfoss Global Account management team supporting target customer.
•    Represent Danfoss to both the customer and internal stakeholders as the primary advocate and trusted advisor ensuring a common Danfoss voice across critical customer activities and initiatives.
•    Understand customers strategic needs and pain points at global, regional, and business unit levels. 
•    Understand Danfoss strategic goals at company, segment, and business unit levels.
•    Create and drive an aligned global account strategy that delivers customer satisfaction and profitable growth leveraging the customer needs against the full Danfoss value proposition.
•    Translate the global account strategy into a 5 yr. business perspective with annual objectives, including revenue and gross margin targets.
•    Secure alignment of account priorities, opportunity pipeline and risk management with all relevant Danfoss stakeholders. 
•    Manage leadership relationships (Business Unit to C-suite) including global escalations.

•   Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
•   5+ years global technical sales experience and/or Business to Business experience

•    Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in delivering results.
•    Comfortable in engaging Leadership (senior to executive level) internally and externally.

•    Strong communicator and consensus builder – ability to align stakeholders with a common understanding.  
•    Experienced in commercial negotiations including contracts.     
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities through importance of outcome and delegation. 
•    Goal oriented business mindset - ability to build and drive a global strategic account plan aimed at delivering profitable growth. 
 


Other Aspects
•    Willingness to travel as required both domestic and international (25-50%)
•    Location, North America preferred. Europe will be considered.
