Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Logistic Coordinator to support the daily operation at our new Distribution Centre in Castel San Giovanni (PC) serving Central, South and Eastern European regions. The Distribution Centre was implemented since Sep 2020 and now serves 15 countries in Europe. The Distribution Center is run by a 3PL, and a small Danfoss team onsite helps to ensure a smooth cooperation between the Logistics Service Providers and Danfoss
We are therefore looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator, who wants to be part of establishing this new Distribution Centre and ensure high compliance, quality and performance within import/export, warehousing and forwarding

Job Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of SOP’s between Logistics providers (brokers, warehouse and forwarders) and Danfoss – and secure that these remain updated on a common web portal
  • Manage daily import and export activities at the Distribution Centre together with customs brokers (operating in SAP GTS)
  • Ensure that Danfoss is compliant throughout the entire delivery process to end customers - e.g. in relation to HS classification, importing, document filing, reporting etc.
  • Support the warehouse provider daily to secure a high performance for warehouse operation and booking of forwarders (operating in SAP D-WM and TMS)
  • Monitor the performance of logistics providers and follow up with corrective action plans in case of deviations to targets. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for relevant stakeholders
  • Verify and approve invoices from logistics providers (partly via SAP TMS)
  • Coordinate with Danfoss segments and customer service organizations for daily issues
  • Support cost and process improvement projects coordinating between segments, customer service, Global services and the logistics providers
  • Coordinate regular cycle counts at the distribution centre (together with the warehouse provider)

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • Several years’ experience working with customs brokers, warehouse providers and forwarders
  • High attention to compliance
  • Several years’ experience as an operational user in SAP modules WMS, TMS and GTS
  • Solid knowledge about import and export procedures in Italy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
