Job Description
Can you ensure lean operations at global Contract Manufacturing sites by defining, establishing and maintaining the required manufacturing procedures and related specification for electronics manufacturing incl. packaging, in close cooperation with our contract manufacturing partner and our Engineering, Quality, Procurement and Logistics organization?
Can you identify, manage and lead projects and cost down opportunities? And can you deliver projects on time without compromising on quality? Then you could be the new Project Manager, Contract Manufacturing in Electronic Controllers & Services Supply Chain, Danfoss.
Join a global team (Denmark, Italy, India, US) of Supply Chain Project Managers. The position is located in Venice, Italy and entails up to 30 travel days per year.
Leading global activities as well as being core team member in projects
With reference to the Director Hardware & Manufacturing Development, you will get a unique opportunity to be a part of a highly engaged team, working with supply chain projects within electronics manufacturing. There are long-standing relationships with many of the suppliers, but focus is also on constantly ensuring the right cost and footprint. You will be working both cross-functionally and globally in close collaboration with suppliers and internal functions. The key challenge will be to successfully execute projects with timely completion whilst meeting quality and cost are of essence.
Success Criterias
- Establish a close cooperation and partnership with suppliers and related internal stakeholders
- Secure supply capability by defining, establishing and maintaining the required operating procedures and related specification; with zero defect mindset
- Ensure successful milestone approval for supply chain deliveries in projects (Change control projects; cost down and transfer projects)
Job Responsibilities
- Customer Quality experience – quality assurance process, IATF16949
- To drive and develop the required supplier relationship on technical level
- Manufacturing support, improve yield and optimize cycle time at the supplier
- Problem solving, from customer complaint or from supplier raised issues
- Ensure correct and adequate packaging and identification of products by cross functional alignment between Engineering and Manufacturing Technology
Background & Skills
Project manager with an eye for detail
You hold a Bachelor degree (Electronic, Manufacturing) or (Project Management)
- 1-3 years of experience with relevant knowledge in Supply Chain / Operations
- Technical background in process technology, preferable in electronic manufacturing
- Strong commercial and quality background
- Project Management skills
- Know-how in quality standards IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP
- Able to apply and understand LEAN/RCA concepts
- “Hands-on experience”
With your excellent analytic and project management skills, you have the drive and energy to continuously ensure progress. Furthermore, you are able to work independently and communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all organizational levels. You will need to be robust in a dynamic environment.
You have a positive and open-minded attitude and we expect you to have solid communication skills in English and Italian both verbally and in writing. Finally, you are dedicated, goal-oriented and thrive on working in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
