Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a ​2nd Shift Team Lead ​to join us at our diverse team in Easley, SC. The Team Coordinator is a production employee that takes a leadership role in the operation of a work area.  This role will instruct Operators on job tasks, complete tracking metrics, report causes for deviations and will participate in problem solving activities. The Team Coordinator will progressively lead and support production in all areas.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Responsible for meeting targets agreed with supervisor by recording the hourly registration
  • Independently initiate actions to ensure that targets are met
  • Fill in whenever an operator leaves his/her place for a short period of time (a few minutes or hours)
  • Coordinate and prioritize activities for the team
  • Works in the line based upon DPP recommedation.  Keep information boards up-to-date on a daily basis
  • Audit colleagues on the line.  Drives 5S in the area
  • Understands and can explain the 8 types of Waste and 10 Lean Principles
  • Should motivate and support employees throughout the day keep teams informed of production expectations, scheduling, and any other follow-up information as needed
  • Ensure all SOP’s and work instructions are followed and work with Supervisors and ME’s to continuously improve them.
  • Work with other Team Coordinators to flex and train employees to reduce non-value-added hours in production.
  • Work with support personnel (Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering).

  • High School/GED. Basic Math Skills.
  • Must have the skills and knowledge to run all jobs in the area
  • Must be dependable with a good attitude
  • Computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office.
  • Problem Solving Skills. Fact based problem solving approach.
  • Able to teach basic problem solving tools to co-workers.
  • Works systematically and persistently with problem solving.  
  • ” Just do it”, ”lets try it”, ”lets fix it” approach.
