Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a 2nd Shift Team Coordinator ​to join us at our diverse team in Easley, SC. On a daily basis, the Team Coordinator will instruct associates on work that is to be completed. The Team Coordinator will be responsible to ensure that the production targets are met with a minimum of waste for area of responsibility.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Responsible for meeting targets agreed with Supervisor.  Must be proficient in their area of responsibility.
  • Independently initiate actions to ensure that targets are met.
  • Responsible for coaching associates on application of standard work and work practices to increase competencies.
  • Ensure cross-training is conducted to enable worker flexibility. Work with Training Coordinator when needed to raise skill sets of work force.
  • Ensure prioritization of tasks in cooperation with the team.  Constant attention to improvement.
  • Maintain KPIs (Information) on PMS boards.  Lead daily PMS board meetings.  Participate in RCPS activities as required.  React to deviations.
  • Diagnose product defects; instruct employees on repair requirements and work with Manufacturing Engineer to trouble shoot product failures.
  • Fill in if needed for an associate that leaves his/her assigned area for a short period of time (a few minutes or hours)
  • Perform audits when necessary.  Other duties as assigned.  Practice and enforce safety rules.
  • Support supervisor by keeping them aware of any issues and potential issues regarding manufacturing, personnel and product.  
  • Accurately communicate information to co-workers and supervision.
  • Ensure that communication between shifts is clear and concise.

 

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • High School/GED
  • Proven leadership experience, preferred.
  • Math Skills that includes basic Math, Statistics, fractions, use of calculators and basic Algebra.
  • Must have broad product / process knowledge of area of responsibility.
  • Understand production system in area of responsibility.
  • Able to motivate teams towards continuous improvement.
  • Works systematically and persistently with problem solving.
  • Must be mature and well-respected.
  • Able to support and coach associates.
  • Must be dependable with a good attitude.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are needed.
  • Computer skills: SAP and Microsoft Office.
