Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Sales Development Manager in our Americas region, responsible for driving and developing sales initiatives for OEMs, Distributors and Account Managers with a clear Go-to-Market Strategy for growing business.  The preferred candidate will have a proven track record of leading company initiatives and managing all aspects of the Danfoss customer relationship.

Job Responsibilities

 

Your Responsibilities for this exciting position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Development of the Open Circuit Pump business in your region
  • Development the Sales of the direct OEM customers, Strategic accounts and Sales partner (Distributors) together with the Account Managers
  • Creation and Coordination of Sales Initiatives, Growth- and Win plans for your focus areas
  • Being the expert and first representative of the Business Unit for Account Managers and Customers in your certain geographical region
  • Actively join and support Account Teams on customer visits or -meetings and promote Open Circuit Pumps
  • Collect the application- and product requirements to the BU Product Management and Product Application Engineering (PDP front end, Voice of Customers)
  • Responsible for acquiring new business opportunities
  • Build a strong internal network and align with stake holders to be successful in driving business development

Background & Skills

To be considered for this position, you ideally possess these skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree 
  • Proven customer-oriented mindset
  • 3-5 years of experience in Business or Sales Development
  • 3-5 years of working experience from B2B area, preferably from the industrial, automotive, or project environment
  • Hydraulics Industry Experience
  • SAP and Salesforce experience will be an asset
  • Solid business experience in Strategy, Finance and Planning
  • Strong passion to drive the business, self-motivated, and service oriented
  • Excellent English language skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Concept-to-Market processes


Travel requirements

  • Travel as needed to meet customers, to run trainings, to run Sales Development activities, to visit production plans and engineering locations,
  • Travel to other locations for global team meetings and trade shows
  • Up to 50% travel
