Job Description
The Financial Analyst role, located in Eden Prairie, MN supports the Segment Controlling team with the management of Danfoss Power Solutions (DPS) Segment ledgers. This position is visible to senior leadership and segment functional managers. Key areas of responsibilities include month-end close processes to include journal entries, B/S account reconciliations, year-end reporting, financial policy compliance, fixed asset / capital reporting and miscellaneous analysis/reporting as needed. The ideal candidate is detail / analytical orientated, capable of establishing strong business relationships, communicates effectively and drives for results within a global, diverse and growing business. This position also reports day to day work responsibilities to site controller.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
• Completes month-end reporting requirements for the segment ledgers, including journal entries and account reconciliation
• Supports site controller with other requirements including year-end reporting, US legal entity internal/external audit requests, accounting process documentation
• Supports site controller with monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting for the global functions.
• Works in a team environment with other analysts and financial colleagues to streamline and drive improvement in financial processes through tools/systems, automation, and standardization.
• Ensures compliance with internal controls, Danfoss or DPS financial policies and US GAAP
• Completes other assigned misc. tasks as needed
Background & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related fields from an accredited institution with applicable experience
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced degrees (or specific degrees if not required above), additional preferred work experiences (supervision/leadership, manufacturing environment, multinational company)
1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred
Intermediate to advanced Excel
Experience with other systems, such as Oracle, SAP, Longview
