Demand & Capacity Planner (m/f/d)

Job Description

At Danfoss Silicon Power we are currently looking for a Demand & Capacity Planner (m/f/d) within our Value Stream Industry/ Renewables team located at our site in Flensburg, Germany. In this role you are responsible for planning and coordinating our production capacities for our products for our plants in Flensburg (DE), Utica (USA) and in future for our plant in Nanjing, China. 

Job Responsibilities

In this role you will contribute to conducting master planning, material requirements planning, and production planning based on the master production plan for assigned product lines or locations with a main planning horizon of two weeks up to two years. Your goal is to resolve imbalances between manufacturing plans and required resources and achieve optimal stock levels, delivery capability and consistent utilization of production capacity. With your expertise and data input you will contribute to our global master production planning. 


You will continuously analyze critical supply situations and coordinate suitable measures in close cooperation with other internal departments. You will evaluate and monitor customer requirements and capacity offer based on key figures as well as evaluate the effects on the delivery times of products and components. Further, you will use defined KPIs to assess quality and accuracy of planning and to identify root causes of deviations as well as follow up on these with suitable measures and adjustments. You will also continuously maintain the relevant data in SAP.


Along these processes you will work closely with our teams in Production, Purchasing, Supply & Demand planning and Sales on an international level. You will contribute to process optimization projects with your Supply Chain perspective. 

Background & Skills

For this position you hold a university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent educational background. You have experience in long-term production and capacity planning in a high-volume production environment. Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Profound understanding of supply chain & resource planning, production, and material planning as well as its’ impact on business success
  • Familiar with production environment and associated requirements 
  • Analytical and conceptual skills with organizational talent
  • Ability to navigate within matrix organization and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders
  • Fluent English and very good German language skills
