Job Description

We are currently searching for Materials Engineers (m/f/d) who are motivated to join our Process Development Team in FlensburgAs a Process Development Engineer (m/f/d) you will independently develop new production processes in the field of power electronics in complex customer projects from the automotive, renewable energy and industrial sectors.

Job Responsibilities

You optimize highly reliable process technologies for semiconductors and SMD components and are thus an integral part of our innovative development process from sample to high volume series production. Additionally, you develop independently new production processes until they are ready for series production and optimize processes in terms of quality, costs and efficiency. This includes test planning, test execution and statistical evaluation of the results. This involves various processes such as molding, die-bonding, wire-bonding, micro welding, cleaning, soldering, sintering. You support our production in the selection, specification and commissioning of production equipment and systems and train team colleagues and employees in production. You will receive comprehensive onboarding so that you can handle these tasks even without deep process development experience. 

Background & Skills

You have successfully completed a Master's or Bachelor's degree (engineering, materials science, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or comparable), are motivated and want to get involved in process development and learn from us. Ideally you already have experience in process development and in one of the specific processes, but this is not a mandatory requirement. Former experience in the fields of electronics, manufacturing or production industry is desirable. Ideally, you have knowledge of production processes for electronic assemblies or power modules as well as knowledge of statistical test planning (Design of Experiments, P-FMEA, SPC). 

In addition, we would like to have:

  • Logical understanding of machine processes (mechanics, sensors, pneumatics, data processing)
  • A motivated and systematic way of working
  • A high degree of teamwork and analytical skills
  • Communication skills and a hands-on mentality
  • Very good English and good written and spoken German skills
