Job Description

At Danfoss Silicon Power in Flensburg we develop customer specific power modules for automotive and industrial applications. We are currently looking for a Production Technology Engineer (m/f/d) to support us in realizing our fast growth. In this position you will be part of our Global Production Technology team serving our production sites in Flensburg and Utica, USA and ensuring state-of-the-art production equipment. This position can be filled full- or part-time

Job Responsibilities

In this position you will participate in the product pre-development in collaboration with the industrial and automotive business units, application engineering and R&D to align on implications for production technology and equipment. You will support supplier development and new equipment concepts to ensure required technology for new production project executions. Further, you will test new technology, equipment, concepts in feasibility studies and continuously screen the market for new partners for automation and equipment solutions. You will also evaluate supplier companies regarding different criteria and standards to serve as a base for decision making within the team. 

Background & Skills

For this position you hold a university degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or industrial engineering or an equivalent educational background with experience as a Production, Process or Equipment Engineer, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment or automotive environment. Additionally, we are looking for: 

 

  • Preferably established network within the market for assembly and automation equipment
  • Highly motivated and self-organized
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with flexible and dynamic thinking
  • Driven by innovation while having hands-on mentality
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills to motivate others
  • Fluent English and good German skills
