Job Description

At Danfoss Silicon Power we are currently looking for a Senior Equipment Engineer (m/f/d) located in our office in Flensburg, Germany. You will be part of our Global Production Technology team serving our production sites in Flensburg and Utica, USA, and ensuring state-of-the-art production equipment. 

Job Responsibilities

In this role you will develop equipment concepts fitting the needs of product, process and production and create equipment specifications. You will be responsible for leading projects around equipment sourcing and supplier development. You will continuously improve and extend the collaboration with equipment suppliers to ensure their match to our demands and strategy. Further, you will evaluate supplier companies according to their technical competency, innovation potentials, agility, financial robustness, market representation and other indicators. You will screen the market for potential partners for automation and equipment solutions. Throughout your work you will continuously improve standards and processes to ensure the implementation of state-of-the-art and new equipment and production technologies.

Background & Skills

For this position you hold a university degree in mechanical, mechatronics or industrial engineering or an equivalent educational background with several years of experience in equipment engineering in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry. Additionally, we are looking for: 

 

  • Established network within the market for assembly and automation equipment
  • Ability to provide excellent quality results in a timely manner
  • Highly motivated, self-driven and well-organized with hands-on mentality
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with flexible mind-set
  • Driven by innovation and motivated to a drive improvements and change
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Fluent English and German language skills
