Job Description

Danfoss Power Electronics is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Gråsten. 

Are you driven by curiosity, do you have the talent for designing electronics and are experienced within power electronics? Then you could be our new Electrical Engineer at Danfoss Drives in Gråsten, where we develop and produce variable speed drives; The VLT®. 
 

Product improvement, and development of new solutions
At an overall level, you will help ensuring that our products have a solid and robust design at high level of quality throughout the entire product life span. 

You will be a part of the Product Engineering Center, where your technical knowledge is the key. The Electrical Engineering team consists of nine skilled members. Together with your colleagues you will be working on continuous product improvement and development of new product features.

Job Responsibilities

Whenever you are driving the implementation of your changes to the product, it will be your responsibility to secure that the level of quality is maintained – as you will do in all your work.

 

Motivation of your tasks
Design changes can be triggered by:

  • Product adaptations to our standard products, for a special customer
  • Root cause analysis of field failures to perform quality improvements
  • Cost-down activities and selection of new technologies at a lower cost
  • Increased production run, to secure the right components are used

 

Your responsibilities
Technologies like IGBT, gate-drive, DC-Link, thyristors will be your focus:

  • Designing of circuits at high quality
  • Troubleshooting and redesign
  • Components selection and qualification 
  • Risk mitigation by reviewing, simulation/calculation and testing
  • Documentation of your work
  • Scheduling and implementation of your solution in running production

Background & Skills

You have a Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent. You have some experience within design of power electronics and are used to work with basic analog- and probably also with EMC correct design. You might even be familiar with other focus areas like digital design or embedded electronics.

On a more personal note, you thrive on solving technical problems, both independently and together with a team, and are not afraid of jumping into new challenges. You have a high sense of urgency, you manage to work on several fronts, and understand the importance of involving others.
