As a data management specialist, you will be guiding colleagues throughout the company and ensuring that we get most value from our current or future data assets. You will be working closely with digital leads, data engineers, architects, and BI developers to govern data management and support the business in data-related activities while aligning people and processes across the organization, to ensure the relevant data is available with high quality where it is needed. You will be part of engaging setup working with data intelligence and advanced analytics, currently growing to support the increased focus on data and analytics across the value chain and lines of business.

Job Responsibilities

 

Your tasks will vary from project to project, and might cover the following:

  • Engage with business stakeholders, mapping their requirements to relevant reporting and analytics solutions for implementation
  • Evaluate data and process qualities, and suggest and implement improvements
  • Participate in data storage design discussions
  • Guide on best practices for data management
  • Give inputs to reference architecture, encouraging modular approach with re-usability and sharing
  • Ensure relevant and consistent integrations between different systems and solutions
  • Support and implement data availability, integration and API development activities
  • Analyze existing data solutions to suggest and implement improvements
  • Proactively identify application of new data sources or existing assets with stakeholders
  • Master data management and governance processes for ensuring data integrity

Background & Skills

 

  • Bachelor in relevant field (e.g. computer science, information technology, …)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience
  • Expert in master data management
  • Knowledge on various storage technologies for different data types
  • Data catalog experience is a plus
  • Experience with capturing requirements in data models
  • Interest and possibly experience with applied data science is an advantage
