Due to expansion of our Shared Service Centre in Grodzisk Mazowiecki we are looking for  the new colleague - GL Accountant

Job Responsibilities

At this position you will: 

  • Record and verify daily operations and business within General ledger activates,
  • Prepare and review of journal entries, calculating accruals/provisions related to period-end activities,
  • Handle General Ledger activities such as: perform period-end procedures of month, quarter, year-end closing activities for non-complex entities, fixed assets handling, balance sheet reconciliation, sub-ledgers to GL reconciliations, reporting, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting and operational guidelines, as well as IFRS and local statutory GAAP,
  • Oversee bank accounts incl. unapplied and unreconciled Items,
  • Check and analyze SAP details on an ongoing basis to be able to catch any potential posting errors or process issues,
  • Intercompany and loan reconciliations, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions,
  • Support the execution of activities related to internal and external audit requirements,
  • Work with local or SSC finance teams to resolve discrepancies and queries for related accounting issues in a timely manner,
  • Comply with standards, policies and procedures defined, 
  • Assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures.

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting, Economics or recognized accounting qualification,
  • + 4 years professional experience in finance & accounting, including +2 years of experience in general ledger/ R2R at similar position in a multinational company or Shared Service Centre,
  • Good skills (B2) in spoken and written English (other languages are welcome),
  • Practical knowledge of integrated ERP system,
  • Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills,
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work with deadlines and stress situations,
  • Teamwork and ability to work in changing environment with different cultures,
  • Customer focus and good communication skills,
  • Ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities,
  • Proactivity and analytical skills.
