Job Description

Danfoss group IT is looking for a Lead Architect for our Digital engagement team with a strong functional knowledge and background in Sales, Service, Marketing and digital platforms in general. He /she will work to drive the strategy and set the architectural direction across things like websites, Salesforce, Marketing technologies and various customer facing solutions together with Solution Architects and Enterprise Architects.
As our new Lead Architect, you are going to manage the capability architecture together with Solution and Enterprise Architects; spanning across different domains and product areas to ensure an aligned direction.
You are an "agent of change", representing the architecture and working on safeguarding the integrity of our landscape throughout all the changes. Through the development cycle, you continuously strive to bridge between organizations, requirements, technologies, and target architecture.

 

You can work from anywhere in Europe, but our preferred locations are Nordborg, Denmark, Neumunster German, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Edinburg, UK.

Job Responsibilities

You will develop and maintain high-level designs for overall logical and technical IT architecture. You will provide leadership, strategic decision-making, and guidance within technical disciplines, responding to disruptive technologies and solving unique and complex problems. Typical daily responsibilities are: 

  • Delivering architecture artifacts, including reference architectures, plateau diagrams, information models etc 
  • Working with business partners to analyze strategy and trends to define the requirements, principles, and models that guide technology decisions.
  • Communicating and enforcing technology standards
  • Involvement in design authority and various technical boards
  • Understanding industry trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies
  • Driving digital innovation and developing roadmaps to fulfill business ambitions
  • Defining high-level migration plans to address gaps in current state
  • Coaching, mentoring, and leading technical subject matters experts and solution architects to enable and drive consistency across technology architectures
  • Overseeing and facilitating the evaluation, risk assessment, selection, and design of hardware and software technology and product standards
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Background & Skills

  • 5 – 7 years experience as an IT solutions architect or capability architect
  • Business architecture experience
  • Experience with defining roadmaps and standards
  • Decomposing business request into meaningful capabilities and processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership and influential skills in a complex organization
  • Adept at creative solution development
  • Breaking down complexity into something that can be communicated and decided on
  • Experience in working with architecture management, governance and design authorities.
  • A good understanding of API architecture and integration
  • A good understanding of Cloud architecture

 

Desired Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with modelling based on Togaf and Archimate.
  • Experience with Salesforce and a strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality
  • Experience in working with digital customer experience
