Job Description

At Danfoss Power Solutions, we are hiring for a Senior Software Product Manager (m/f/d) – Simulations Products & Services.

You will lead the evolution of the PLUS+1® system integration platform tools and software mobile applications.

 

You provide strategic direction for products and services in your area of responsibility. You formulate long-range plans and keep the organization focused on market needs. You manage pricing, promotion and placement of products throughout the life cycle. You make a difference and focus on defining and prioritizing our PLUS+1® Software Development Tools product roadmap.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Senior Software Product Manager, you can expect the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Complete product lifecycle management of existing software product portfolio as well as new products and mobile system applications;
  • Coordinate and define the software product roadmap;
  • Compile market needs for new products. Tools at your disposal: QFD’s, panel of experts, voice of customer methods;
  • Develop market analysis and convert to assess market information, market trends, market share analysis, and competitive analysis;
  • Assess market needs and opportunities for new products/specifications through research and feasibility analysis, including identification of potential acquisitions;
  • Champion business case development for new products; 
  • Management & Ownership of the Market specification and Market/Sales plan, pricing, and launch coordination for new products;
  • Initiates product promotion with Market Communications, emphasizing the message about the benefits of the product and the value proposition to be successful in the market;
  • Develop and maintain market development plan, including participation in relevant trade shows & conferences, along with developing and maintaining relationships with internal Danfoss teams and external customers.

Background & Skills

To be successful, we expect you to possess a bachelor’s and or master’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration. We like to see 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience with detailed knowledge of software, software development tools and applications. Knowledge of electric or electronic component systems is a plus. Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of key IT tools: MS Office applications, Salesforce, Business Intelligence Warehouse; 
  • Ability to work effectively in a high quality, deadline driven environment;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a team;
  • Global mindset and excellent communication skills. You will be working across different geographies and levels in the organization;
  • Good time and project management skills to organize and plan effectively;
  • Energetic, proactive and self-driven but able to find compromises between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests; 
  • Knowledge of the Danfoss target markets and applications with a broad knowledge of the sales process is a plus;
  • Fluent (in word and writing) English language skills.
