Job Description
At Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls we are currently looking for a System Simulation Specialist (m/f/d) in Hamburg, Germany to join our Virtual Competence Center.
Job Responsibilities
In this position you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high simulation
knowledge to speed up simulation for Innovation, Development and Value Engineering. You will develop and maintain product models to digitalize the customer relation with the focus of virtual benchmarking, virtual prototypes, and system optimization.
You will develop product models and thermal management system models based on general physics, testing, and simulation input. Your tasks include the optimization of products and systems based on your models. Therefore, you develop advanced product models, provide design recommendations based on simulations including design experiments, verification, and testing as well as use optimization techniques to enable design space exploration or account for uncertainties. By increasing the number of designs evaluated for products through modelling & simulation you support reducing the need for physical tests.
Further, you will provide virtual benchmarking in your virtual systems, ensure documentation of modelling & simulation results and best practices as well as extend and maintain model libraries. You will also interact with customers via FMI standard and actively engage in the implementation of Virtual Engineering with in Danfoss.
Background & Skills
For this position you hold a university degree Engineering or similar educational, technical background with some years of experience in modelling & simulation in a product development environment. You have experience with 0D/1D lumped-parameter modeling and simulation of refrigeration or thermal systems (both steady state and transient). Additionally, we are looking for:
- Very good Dymola skills or equivalent tools
- Experience in parameterization methods and FMI standard is a plus
- Experience using Ansys tools is a plus
- Innovative, communicative and open mind-set with fact-based, quality and result-driven approach
- Willingness to develop our competences further and extend your knowledge in other areas
- Fluent English language skills
