We now have an opportunity to recruit a Logistics Manager to join our flagship site in Havant, Hampshire (PO9 2NB). This role will report into the Supply Chain Manager and take ownership of the operational management of the warehouse and the shipping function, and in due course the material flows within the plant.
Job Responsibilities
As our new Logistics Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Coordination of the Warehouse and Shipping team, ensuring high quality and compliant performance
• Responsibility for the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and outbound despatch of goods
• Keeping a high standard of service level to customers through packing accuracy and meeting outbound collection times
• Ensuring the compliant and efficient supply of shipping documents
• Assisting the plant with import/ export queries as needed
• Proactive liaison with the wider Danfoss business, building relationships with core functions such as the Global Logistics team
• Working with the Danfoss Business System integration team, to define, implement, and sustain meaningful KPIs and 5S standards
• Working on numerous improvement projects aimed at streamlining activities whilst driving up productivity and quality
• Managing warehouse capacity and stock, ensuring layouts and tools are best suited to the demands of the function
• Managing talent process and compliancy through recruitment, training, and HR, building a high performing team supported by your positive approach
• Over time, establish and deliver a plan to own all internal material flows

• Working knowledge of H&S
• Strong team player

• Proven people management experience
• Manufacturing, supply chain and warehousing experience
• Experience of GTM
• ERP knowledge – SAP
• Strong numerical skills, with the ability to create and analyse data
• Educated to degree level, or equivalent (Desirable)
• Strong IT skills (Desirable)
• Project management experience (Desirable)
• Understanding of lean and performance techniques (Desirable)
• The ability to "think outside of the box" and solve problems with an innovative and forward-thinking approach
