Job Responsibilities

As our new Production Manager, you'll be responsible for:

•    Ensuring all Health and safety guidelines are followed.
•    Overseeing the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations.
•    Resource planning, ensuring that key requirements are in place to meet the agreed forecasts.
•    Maintaining and improving quality standards.
•    Ensuring that production is cost effective, improving productivity and reducing scrap.
•    Monitor the production processes against agreed KPIs, and proactively implementing actions when required.
•    Organising the repair of equipment with the Engineering department.
•    Liaising with different internal departments, teams e.g., finance etc.
•    Collating and analysing data, putting together production reports for Manufacturing manager.
•    Utilise CI tools to manage the day-to-day business and make improvements.
•    Supervising and motivating his / her team.
•    Reviewing worker performance (and use corrective action as appropriate) and identify training needs.

To thrive in this role, you'll display:

  • Detailed team leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment, with relevant supporting qualifications.
  • Demonstrable experience of of Lean methodologies.
  • Ability to plan and organise a fast-paced production process.
  • Decisive and able to solve staff or equipment-related problems.
  • Complete understanding of Root Cause Analysis, problem-solving, and error prevention.
  • Strong attention to detail and with a focus on quality.
  • Strong people management skills with an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with all stakeholders across the plant.
  • ERP experience would be advantageous (SAP implementation due in  2023).
