Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions are seeking to appoint a Procurement Sourcing Project Manager to drive the successful initiation, planning and design of projects with excellent execution and control to be delivered to timeline while maintaining quality and cost targets. You will be part of a global procurement team, currently consisting of Project Managers, located in UK, USA and China.
 
This position will be based at Danfoss Power Solutions Industrial site in Havant, UK, with an element of domestic and international travel to be expected as part of the role (circa 30%).

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the position include:
•    Creation of continuous cost savings pipeline (constrained and unconstrained) for technical and sourcing levers by understanding category/sourcing trends and challenging the status quo
•    Communicating project statuses to all relevant stakeholders, including regular reports to senior business leaders
•    Effective and efficient implementation of approved projects from end-to-end, ensuring all expectations and deliverables are met, including forming and managing team timelines, action plans, savings, expenses and supplier relationships.
•    Effective management of all assigned or temporary resources to secure a successful outcome and implementation, including people as well as capital funding for tooling, fixtures etc.
•    Coordinate activities between Global and/or Regional Category Managers (GCM/RCM) and Product Development Team to achieve the best cost / quality and deliver sourcing decisions
•    Work with suppliers, internal customers, management and stakeholders to identify, visualize and mitigating potential risks for the projects.

Background & Skills

For you to shine in this position, you will be:

  • Degree-qualification or equivalent in supply chain management, project management, engineering, or other related field
  • Detailed experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain
  • Demonstrable ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and drive positive results through creation of positive relationships
  • Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
