Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Regional Category Manager, mainly focusing on turning and hot stamping parts category.

Job Responsibilities

Commodity Strategy Development
Contribute to development of category strategies incl. risk assessments
Deploy agreed category strategy supported by project and operational buyers
Spend Management
Negotiate competitive buying prices based on policy and targets given by Head of Category (initial and annual cost downs)
Drive the saving projects (TCO /Strategic cost management) in collaboration with site purchasing managers
Contracting
Negotiate competitive supply conditions in compliance with guidelines
Supply Base Management & Development
Establish approved supplier lists and implement supply base reduction plan
Improve supplier performance and mitigate supply risk via risk assessment and mitigation plan
Supply Quality & Sustainability
Stakeholder Management

Background & Skills

Bachelor degree and preferably master in business administration and/or technical
Minimum 5 years of procurement related experience from a manufacturing industry environment
Fluent business English, verbal and writing
Strong leadership and networking skills
Drive for performance
Team player
Positive and open minded (good listener)
