Job Description

The R&D & Test department is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Engineer to join our development team in Kamnik, Slovenia. This position requires strong technical expertise and experience in technical documentation and compliance verification. Benefit is to know the regulation connected to drinkable water, PED and UL regulatory compliance. The right candidate will be an integral partner to the development team, ensuring that all our product designs conform with worldwide regulatory requirements. You will be the kind of person which enjoys reading and break down standard and directive to design requirements. 

 

You will have a good understanding of various standard how to apply them to product and how to look that in our product all standards are met. Addition experience in driving product design for the applicable worldwide regulatory and safety standards. You will engage with a diverse cross-functional team supporting the innovation of consumer products and work closely with the engineering team to cooperate on compliance testing and verification. You must be highly analytical, able to work effectively across multiple teams and have an understanding of test, certify and enable market access for our products. You must possess strong passion for delivering to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a standardized and harmonized approach to Regulatory Compliance.
  • Working with engineering team, including the product/program managers, actively educate on regulatory requirements for new and existing products, help guide compliant. design development and verify compliance through testing and validation activities.
  • Determine and interpret the relevant regulatory standards.
  • Establish and maintain guidelines and best design practices to mitigate compliance issues early and internal lesson learn thru FMEA in the design phase.
  • Participate in mechanical design reviews to ensure Legal compliance are properly implemented in the design.
  • Responsible for compliance topic in product audit.
  • Work with external Notified Body and internal department to define and best practice for our product.
  • File official paperwork and final approval from the proper government or regulatory bodies.
  • Track and research applicable requirements related to worldwide regulatory certification labelling and ensure our products remain compliant with current regulations.
  • Stay up to date on any changes to global approvals and testing procedures.
  • Responsible for standardization process in engineering department. (lesson learn, FMEA, Qualification plan…).
  • Knowledge of PED, UL, KIWA Certification is a benefit. 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in product engineering.
  • Any experience of product release base on legal regulation.
  • Experience in submissions for official certification through relevant compliance bodies.
  • Experience in documenting regulatory requirements extracted from compliance standards.
  • FMEA, Microsoft tool.
  • Structural approach to problem solving and document management.
