Job Responsibilities

 

As our new Senior Development Engineer, Mechanics, your main areas of responsibility will be to provide technical expertise in product development projects and lead and provide support to other engineers and departments.

 

Furthermore, your responsibilities are:

 

  • Innovating new solutions to enhance product performance, cost-competitiveness, and quality  
  • Creating and developing component requirements and specifications, and other technical design documents as per Danfoss standards and processes  
  • Delivering specifications, designs, analyses, and prototypes on time 

  

Depending on the chosen candidate’s experience, interest and potential, final tasks and responsibilities can be adjusted.  

Background & Skills

  
To be succesful in this position you should have an appropriate technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) and at several years of experience within product development with rotating electric machines. 

You have at least basic knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metals, die casting and machining. You are familiar with 3D design tools and PDM/PLM systems.  

 

You have good written and spoken communication skills in English but also beneficial is if you have Finnish language skills. We appreciate fresh approach to designing and developing products to be competitive in the evolving market. 

 

On a more personal level, you are innovative, analytical and solution-oriented with the ability to work well within a team. You network with different stakeholders easily and you have good communicational skills. We value your good attitude and passion towards all your tasks. We also expect you to be ready to develop your professional skills further.
