Job Responsibilities
As our new Senior Mechanical Engineer your main area of responsibility will be product development in new products along with maintenance and improvement of the current products and product platforms. You will provide technical expertise in product development projects and work with various design teams, and you are also able to lead them. In addition to this, you work as a technical expert who provides support to other functions and departments.
Furthermore, your responsibilities are:
- Innovating new solutions to enhance and ensure product performance, cost effectiveness, and quality
- Creating and developing product and component requirements and specifications, and other technical design documents as per Danfoss standards and processes
- Delivering specifications, designs, analyses, and prototypes on time
Depending on the chosen candidate’s experience, interest and potential, final role and responsibilities can be adjusted.
Background & Skills
To be successful in this position you should have an appropriate technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) and experience within product development with rotating electric machines, or you have solid experience in design and development of machinery.
You have knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes including aluminum die casting and machining. You are familiar with 3D design tools and PDM/PLM systems. It is also advantage if you have special skills in any of the following areas: structural analysis, mechanical vibrations, bearing systems, thermal management and heat transfer or product verifications and testing.
You have good written and spoken communication skills in English. Proficiency in the Finnish language is also an advantage. We appreciate fresh approach to designing and developing products to be competitive in the evolving market.
