HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $85,000 /year. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
As the Manufacturing Engineer, your main responsibility will be to design and implement processes to enable the organization to meet targets for both existing and new products. You will also be involved in monitoring and continuously improving existing processes.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Designs, implements, and improves manufacturing processes using Lean tools such as line balancing, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Evaluates and implement new technologies within manufacturing and automation.
- Confers with planning and design teams concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods and design for automation.
- Collaborates with suppliers to determine product specifications, arranges equipment, materials or parts for purchase, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Actively participates on new product development teams to ensure new products are implemented with no negative impacts to production.
- Ensures engineer changes are implemented with no negative impacts to safety, quality, delivery or productivity.
