Job Description

 

Danfoss has an opening in its Loves Park, IL facility for an Electronic Technician.  This position is responsible for drive troubleshooting and rework, as well as providing technical support for production test equipment. The Electronic Technician will also assist in the design, assembly, and maintenance of production test equipment in support of the Test Engineering Department.  This role is critical to the production process at Danfoss and requires the ability to quickly troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime in the production process and meet customer delivery dates.  

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Drive troubleshooting and rework in production test
  • Perform function test of larger stand alone drives using automated test
  • Provide technical support for production test equipment and production systems
  • Assist the quality department in root cause analysis of component failures
  • May perform periodic maintenance and improvements for test equipment
  • Diagnose issues and failures in production equipment 

Background & Skills

 

  • Associates degree from 2-year college or technical school in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents
  • Ability to analyze data information and present to peers and managers
  • Experience with assembly, electrical wires, and hand tools
  • PC knowledge i.e. MS Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Knowledge of databases and forms in Oracle are a plus
  • Basic understanding of Variable Frequency Drives and 3 phase motor systems a plus
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Must be able to function well in a team or group environment
  • Ability to work in a production environment and interact with production personnel
