Job Description

Danfoss is looking for is looking for a Facilities Manager to support the North American region. The Facilities Manager will be a part of the North American Global Services Real Estate team. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Global Services real estate team and all functional areas of the business to meet organizational goals of multiple active development projects. These projects can encompass construction, building remodeling, energy savings, security, branding, landscaping, office leasing and footprint strategy.
  • Coordinate with third party facility management companies on any project related work.
  • Directly responsible for day-to-day facility activities for Freeport, Milwaukee, Loves Park
  • Engage with Finance and Procurement to ensure proper execution of purchase orders, departmental charges, cost control of expense and capital budgets.
  • Proficient understanding of building systems (Security, HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical)
  • Work closely with GS organizational matrix and local business managers to develop project schedules and ensures timely completion of project activities and within budget.
  • Travel to to business sites to work on projects or resolve issues as needed.
  • Ensure effective and timely understanding and communication of project status, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Helps coordinate projects with local contractors, engineering firms and vendors for Global Services.
  • Support Environmental and Safety initiatives at each site

Background & Skills

  • Preferable to have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Science or Engineering
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD is not required but being able to use the software is preferred.
  • Previous project management experience is preferred.
  • Possesses solid general cross-functional understanding in such areas as building systems, operations, finance, and procurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects with urgency and high quality.
  • Proven skills in building relationships and influencing all levels involved in the projects.
  • The candidate must be able to work in a team atmosphere, and must possess strong communication, decision making, interpersonal skills and an organizational matrix.
