Food & Bev Global Key Account Manager

Danfoss is looking for an energy-efficiency minded Global Key Account Manager to develop and manage our Food & Beverage and Chemical/Pharma End User accounts. You will be creatng your own story within the organization by cracking open new business in the US. Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Establish Danfoss as the preferred supplier for our GKA End Users
  • Lead generation
  • Championing DrivePro Services: e.g., site assessments, service contracts, remote monitoring
  • Deploy Digital Customer Sales experience: Lead and organize virtual customer summits / Innovation workshops
  • Organize regular internal stakeholder meetings
  • Spark global mindset, best in class customer support through all channels (including partner)
  • Develop Value Propositions (cross segment), Strategic customer Plans, Roadmap and direction setting for selected customers, local execution
  • Establish and negotiate global agreements, including regional aligned prices, terms and conditions
  • Multi-level relationship building with all key stakeholders and cross border coordination internally as well as externally. High Level support for Danfoss sales companies and customer stakeholders
  • Development of deep customer insights to uncover short- & long-term customer/market needs and reflect into product/services/processes & quality Roadmap
  • Touchpoint between End User and OEM business (including local and global)
  • Being “One Danfoss” ambassador at selected Key End Users
  • Establish Danfoss in end user specification
  • Master sustainability and environmental requirements of the End User
  • Resolve key account customer issues
  • Manage communications between key account customer and internal teams

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills

  • Must have at minimum a Bachelor's degree in Technical Education – Electronic, Electrical, Automation, Process Industry, Business
  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales, (Drives/Servo/Automation) and/or Business Development, and/or GKAM
  • Understand and speak “customer language”
  • Excellent commercial understanding of the F&B and/or Chemical/Pharma industries. 
  • NAM market understanding (Industry / OEM / Distributor channels)
  • International work experience is a big plus
  • Ability to work in a matrix with a strong passion to perform and exceed targets
  • Hunter mentality on a global level
  • Resilience and adaptability
  • Be able to lead through change while building relationships 
  • Should have a wining attitude and strong and sharp in negotiation skills are a must while being able to value sell and create buy in
  • Willingness to travel regionally 50-60% and globally 15-20% per year
  • Must currently reside in the US
