Supply Chain Systems Engineer

 

Danfoss is looking for a Supply Chain Systems Engineer to join in Loves Park, IL

Job Responsibilities

Critical Tasks/Responsibilities:

· Maintaining existing Production IT Equipment

· Implementation of new Production IT Equipment

· Supports production lines from an IT aspect (includes label printing technology, Pick-to-Light systems, Windows Computer interfaces for operators)

· Maintains and Supports creation for production data monitoring

· Ability to problem solve for off-hours production shifts remotely and in-person as necessary

· Recommend, purchase, and install IT equipment and/or supplies

· Participate in project teams, as required

· Participate in Root Cause Problem Solving/Continuous Improvement tasks

· Perform other duties as assigned

Background & Skills

Basic Minimum Qualifications Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Technician, System Engineer, or related

· Experience with Engineering IT solutions/systems or other enterprise IT solutions

· 3-5 years’ experience in related position

· Experience with development in Microsoft Access using VBA

· Ignition (Industrial SCADA) or related MES tools

· SAP ME experience

· Understanding of relational databases and SQL Queries

 

Desired Skillsets:

· Systems knowledge in Siemens PLC, Kuka/Festo Robotics

· Database management knowledge

· Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement knowledge

 

Other Aspects:

· Holistic view, able to see “the big picture”

· Able to work independently and in teams (physically and virtually)

· Service mindset is a must

· Periodic travel for training and off shift hours to assure continual production up-time
