Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Leads a team of technical support engineers and technical support specialists responsible for post-sales technical support for electronic drives
  • Manages personnel, coordinates team activities, and organizes technical support for customers across North America
  • Initiate field support before dispatching service partner
  • Coordinate field service activities
  • Organize tech support cases from countries in Americas region
  • Communicate with customers to resolve issues
  • Communicate with upper leadership to convey progress, challenges, and solutions
  • Develop, implement, and track team KPI’s
  • Monitor overall performance of team to ensure compliance with policies, practices, and approved service processes
  • Lead and develop team to ensure growth in roles and organization
  • Manage team costs (fixed & variable expenses)
  • Oversee hiring, training, and development of technical support resources across multiple locations
  • Maintain team’s relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Manage escalated customer interaction on customer problems, concerns, and complaints
  • Develop and implement Technical Support best practices
  • 10% travel

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 years experience with variable speed drives and their application
  • Permanent U.S. work authorization
