Job Description
We have an immediate opportunity for a 2nd Shift Team Coordinator to join us at our diverse team in Loves Park, IL. The Team Coordinator is a production employee that takes a leadership role in the operation of a work area. This role will instruct Operators on job tasks, complete tracking metrics, report causes for deviations and will participate in problem solving activities. The Team Coordinator will progressively lead and support production in all areas.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Responsible for meeting targets agreed with supervisor by recording the hourly registration
- Independently initiate actions to ensure that targets are met
- Constant attention to improvements
- Fill in whenever an operator leaves his/her place for a short period of time (a few minutes or hours)
- Coordinate and prioritize activities for the team
- Works in the line based upon DPP recommedation
- Keep information boards up-to-date on a daily basis
- Audit colleagues on the line. Drives 5S in the area. Understands and can explain the 8 types of Waste and 10 Lean Principles
