Job Description

Danfoss Drives is one of the world's bigger manufacturers of AC drives and concentrates in all its business only on developing AC drives. Product leadership is one of the strategic choices of Danfoss Drives and requires long-term efforts and thus we are investing on R&D strongly. The company has new product development units in six countries globally.

The position is in Merano (Italy), an agile and full scope development unit with decades of history in the engineering and manufacturing of AC drives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Electronics design and testing for AC drives

  • Specification, design and verification of components

  • Analyze daily issues and participate in the Root Cause problem solving process.

  • The use of circuit simulation tools and practical testing in our electronics laboratory

  • Participate in test and verification tasks as required

  • Co-operation with other R&D units during developing new projects as well as with our global partners

Background & Skills

  • An appropriate technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in the field of electronics

  • Expertise covering one or more design areas, such as digital electronics, analog measurement circuits, communication interfaces or power supply circuits, but not limited to

  • Proficiency in using test equipment e.g. oscilloscopes, function generators, data acquisition systems

  • PLC operation and LabView experience (seen as beneficial)

  • Good understanding of testing methods and data analysis

  • Knowledge of design and circuit simulation tools

  • A good command of English, and German or Italian
