Danfoss Drives is looking for Lead SAP Variant Configuration Consultant to join our Configuration and Data Management team. Your location is in United States, in Milwaukee WI, and you will be a member of highly skilled global variant configurator team having members from Denmark, Finland, India and US.

In this role you will lead on variant configuration development projects and support activities in Danfoss Drives site in Milwaukee. You will be the key contributor on ensuring that configurator solutions fit to Drives US business, meet global variant configuration concepts and enable and accelerate digital business and system transition in Danfoss Drives.

Job Responsibilities

 

As our new Lead SAP Variant Configuration Consultant, you will work closely with many stakeholders across Danfoss functions, e.g. sales, service, supply chain, R&D and product management, IT and One ERP and One PLM programs as well as newly established divisions and business units and many digital and system interfaces like Salesforce and Danfoss Product Store. Position may include small amount of traveling.

 

Your tasks

  • Lead new development projects and create new SAP sales and BOM configurators in our One ERP and One PLM system landscape mainly focusing on Drives US products.
  • Lead variant configuration support, consultation, and maintenance activities in US
  • Identify gaps and continuously improve and optimize global configurator development and maintenance processes e.g., by increasing automation.
  • Troubleshoot the most complex problems and deliver the efficient maintenance service for our stakeholders in US
  • Participate in process development to improve business processes
  • Interact with IT, One ERP and One PLM and ensure compliance with corporate configurator concepts
  • Participate in documenting DDS configurator concepts and processes
  • Train and help configurator stakeholders and users

 

Immediate tasks

  • Working together with our current specialist and getting knowledge and confidence of existing configurator solutions in use in Milwaukee
  • Networking with relevant stakeholders in Milwaukee
  • Connecting with global variant configuration team and setting the joint governance

Background & Skills

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or similar
  • 4+ years of practical experience on SAP LO-VC and/or PLM Teamcenter applications Product configuration, Structure Manager and interface T4S Gateway
  • Experience with super BOM and super routing in both Teamcenter and SAP
  • You have good knowledge and experience of VC integration with Sales and Distribution (SD), CRM (In Opportunity, Quote, Sales Order Transactions)
  • You understand the big picture, system and software architecture including data flows as well as importance of good data quality
  • You have excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and capability to dig into complex topics
  • You are self-driven and independent specialist with good leadership and influencing skills needed in a complex organization
  • You are passionate team-worker and enjoy working and guiding team members and stakeholders
  • You have excellent and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
  • You know agile way of working, both Scrum and Kanban
  • You have knowledge of some programming skills, e.g., Java, scripting
  • You have continuous improvement mind-set, and you have willingness to learn and pilot new technologies and concepts

In addition to above, we appreciate if you have

  • Masters Degree
  • Knowledge of SAP, PLM, Product Structures, Material Master (MM) management
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA Advance Variant Configuration
  • Configuration Work Group (CWG) membership and participation
  • Knowledge in areas of configure-to-order (CTO, CTO+) and engineering-to-order (ETO) processes
