At Danfoss Power Solutions we are hiring for a Senior Software Product Manager – Software Selling Business Models & Strategy for Digital Products & Services.

Then you may be our new Software Product Manager within Danfoss Power Solutions. You will lead the evolution of the PLUS+1® digital business and selling models within the software organization.
You provide strategic direction for products and services in your area of responsibility. You formulate long-range plans and keep the organization focused on market needs. You manage strategy, packaging, pricing, promotion and placement of products throughout the life cycle. You make a difference and focus on defining and prioritizing our PLUS+1® Software Selling platform product roadmap.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Product lifecycle management planning for existing and new digital products and services
  • Identify, evaluate, confirm, and deploy software business models to capture full value of our digital products
  • Coordinate and define the various product/technology roadmaps to enable digital product sales
  • Compile market needs for new business models. Tools at your disposal: QFD’s, panels of experts, voice of customer methods;
  • Develop market analysis and convert to assess market information, market trends, market share analysis, and competitive analysis
  • Assess market needs and opportunities for new products/specifications through research and feasibility analysis, including identification of potential acquisitions
  • Champion business case development for new products or business models
  • Management & Ownership of the Market specification and Market/Sales plan, pricing, and launch coordination for new Products and Services
  • Initiate product promotion with Market Communications, emphasizing the message about the benefits of the product and the value proposition to be successful in the market
  • Develop and maintain market development plan, including participation in relevant trade shows & conferences, along with developing and maintaining relationships with internal Danfoss teams and external customers

Background & Skills

 

To be successful, we expect you to possess a bachelor’s and or master’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration. We like to see 5+ years of relevant work experience with detailed knowledge of software and software selling business models. Knowledge of electronic component systems is a plus. Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of key IT tools: MS Office applications, Salesforce, Business Intelligence Warehouse
  • Ability to work effectively in a high quality, deadline driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
  • Global mindset and excellent communication skills. You will be working across different geographies and levels in the organization
  • Good time and project management skills to organize and plan effectively
  • Energetic, proactive and self-driven but able to find compromises between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests
  • Knowledge of the Danfoss target markets and applications with a broad knowledge of the sales process is a plus
  • Fluent (in word and writing) English language skills
