Continuous Improvement/ Industrial Engineer

Job Description
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for supporting deployment of the Danfoss Business System to significantly improve the operational performance of the Mountain Home Plant. This role collaborates with the Danfoss Business System team to develop and implement better tools, methods, and processes. It is a role that requires engineering, continuous improvement, and team facilitation experience.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Utilize technical skills and operational experience to develop solutions for business problems that involve methods, equipment, material replenishment, process controls, error-proofing, overall equipment effectiveness, and others.
- Facilitate kaizen events and working sessions focused on operational improvements. Drive the outputs of these efforts to completion, to reap the full benefit to the site's performance.
- Engage with site leadership to support and strengthen the Daily Management System.
Background & Skills
Required (basic) qualifications –
- Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience in lean tools and structured problem solving.
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
Preferred qualifications –
- Experience in continuous flow operational environments
- Lean or Six Sigma certification is highly preferred.
Job Criteria:
- Must have previously led CI process improvements, Kaizen events, or other Lean Manufacturing focused projects.
- Excellent communication abilities (written and verbal) as this individual will work with corporate leadership, plant management, and hourly employees.
- Must be high energy and willing to spend their time on the plant floor
- Thinking and acting strategically
