Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 
•    Analyses and interprets manufacturing related data and assists shop personnel in solving tooling and/or process method problems relating to machinery, or to assembly and test equipment tooling and/or process methods.
•    Develops processes and initiates tool designs as required to support cost-effective quality manufacture of hardware; OR develops process equipment designs and provides specifications for assembly and test equipment.
•    Analyses and reviews current manufacturing or assembly and test methods, equipment and engineering design to improve process and affect cost reduction savings.
•    Performs root cause analysis for Quality and Safety issues
•    Supports in the production of samples and trials initiated both in house and from Product Engineering
•    Performs daily checks of equipment functionality
•    Process checks to ensure standardization across multiple shifts and operators
•    Manages all aspects of capital projects including specifications, quoting, writing capital appropriation requests, installation, and managing contractors

Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a hands-on, project focused Manufacturing Engineer. If you are an experienced professional ready to bring forward your ideas, then Danfoss gives you the freedom to do so. 

This is a Manufacturing Engineering role located in Mountain Home, Ar.  This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.  The duties will include daily support of operations equipment and processes; upgrading of equipment; managing all aspects of capital projects. The successful candidate will be proficient in managing their time and being able to work both individually and on a team in a fast pace working environment.

Required (basic) qualifications
•    4-year Engineering Degree

Preferred qualifications
•    Previous manufacturing experience
•    Previous experience in a rubber manufacturing facility

 

Job Criteria
•    Demonstrates computer skills in the following areas: CAD/CAM, Word processing, spreadsheet, and database knowledge.
•    Demonstrates strong communication skills (from plant floor personnel through company management)
•    Demonstrates a strong problem-solving ability.
