Job Description

 

Supervise and coordinate internal and external logistics in the efficient movement of products, ensuring safety, quality and inventory accuracy by adherence to all environmental programs and quality systems along with compliance to all company policies and practices.

Job Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Manages staffing responsibility for all shipping, receiving and warehousing positions (approximately 15 people) and deploys resources according to operations needs and requirements, controlling resources and overtime, while maintaining high productivity, quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinates external logistic activities with suppliers, customers, and support services including  LTL, Trailer, parcel shipments, expedited shipments, etc.
  • Ensure all materials are received, warehoused, and shipped accurately and safely.
  • Effective written and oral communication with internal and external customers.
  • Identify, plan, and execute improvement initiatives; leveraging internal, external, and divisional resources to assist in implementation

Background & Skills

 

Required (basic) qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or working towards a Bachelor’s degree.  Will consider previous work experience in supply chain supervision in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain, warehousing and/or logistics.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing warehouse employees, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
