Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for providing day to day direction to staff on manufacturing process quality issues, incoming material inspections , customer quality problem solving and overall site direction for implementation and execution of the Quality, Environment and Healthy Management System (QEHS). This position performs a wide variety of duties to ensure quality and reliability of products produced on all production lines.  The Quality Manager leads by example and promotes data driven analysis and decisions.  

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Building up new quality team and process to make sure incoming quality , production process quality and customer quality  under well control in new established factory.
  • Leading factory team to get ISO/IATF 16949 certificated and adherence QEHS system requirements
  • Close Collaborating with Semikron Danfoss Quality function of peers factory to continually improve product quality performance.
  • Identify and drive areas of QEHS improvement.
  • Foster customer satisfaction through resolution of customer complaints, ensuring root cause identification and corrective actions. 
  • Evaluate and provide guidance on alert of production and or deliveries stop.
  • Lead risk assessments with regards to process and product issues
  • Act as a resource for others conducting repeatability and Reproducibility analysis of measurement systems (Gauge R&R / MSA)
  • Act as focal point for customer and regulatory compliance audits
  • Leading lab function for root cause identification for customer quality issues.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials , electronics engineering, or equivalent
  • More than 10 years’ Quality Management experience  and Automobile industrial quality working experience is preferred.
  • Certification as a quality auditor.  Full working knowledge of a IATF16949 compliance audit.
  • Expert in quality tools such as PFMEA/Control Plan/8D/6 Sigma and others
  • Familiarity with electronics assembly equipment such as die attach, solder, cleaning, wire bond and molding.
  • Analytical and organizational mindset together with effectiveness in building and implementing new processes and procedures
  • Proactive and dynamic approach in challenging existing processes and exploring new opportunities
