Job Description

We are looking for a Portfolio Manager (m/f/d) to join our Hydrostatics Portfolio & Product Marketing team.

 

In this case, we talk about 3 specific locations. Neumunster Germany, Ames, Iowa and Eden Prairie in the United States. If you are not located close to any of those mentioned locations, we are open for home office. However, we do request you to travel to the office if required.

Job Responsibilities

The Hydrostatics Portfolio Management team is responsible for then entire lifecycle of the products, from upfront investigations and market studies before launching a product until the phase out. As a Portfolio Manager, you are working in close cooperation with other global functional areas such as Sales, Engineering, Operations, or Finance. Furthermore, you can expect the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • For New Product Developments, you will lead e.g. defining and sharpening the price and product positioning, target segments and applications for internal and or external value proposition;
  • During the development process, you will drive and align the launch activities. Align the Sales goals, but also define the Customer Requirement Specification;
  • For products that are in production, you support the positioning of new features or options and give guidance on minimum quantities;
  • When products enter the phase-out, you will create the phase-out strategy together in a specific team as well as the migration plan of products selected as successors;
  • In this position, you will be interacting and collaborate with several teams on a global level.

Background & Skills

We would like to see that you have a (Bachelor/Master) degree in Engineering/physics, Economies and or Business-related degree combined with preferably 5 years or more work experience with Hydraulics or similar field. Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Able to collaborate and operate in a global matrix organization and with teams located at different parts of the globe with different cultural backgrounds;
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics in a simple manner;
  • Have a structured way of working, goal orientated, team focussed and able to work independent;
  • Have knowledge and able to work with SAP and Salesforce are considered as an example;
  • Have fluent (in word and writing) language skills for the English language.
