Job Description
We are currently looking for an energetic Sales Development Manager (m/w/d) Hydrostatics for our Business Unit High & Medium Power Closed Circuit. The preferred location for this position is Neumünster, but Hamburg is also a possibility, as well as working out of a Home Office within Germany.
Job Responsibilities
As Sales Development Manager (m/w/d), you are a key link between the Business Unit and our customers, identifying customer needs and communicating these to the internal organization. You will actively drive the Sales Development and profitable growth for your Business Unit in cooperation with the Sales Teams and European organization. It will be your responsibility to lead the product promotion to customers and to create customer product tactical planning in collaboration with Corporate Sales, Marketing and Account Managers.
Your main tasks include the Sales planning. You will align, execute and follow-up on mutually agreed activities set with the Account Managers. This cooperation extends to customer visits, trainings, and general consulting, for which you will provide input, e.g. on technical & commercial data needed to provide optimal customer proposal. Furthermore, you will support Sales activities by providing recommendations on account planning, customer requests and follow-up on activities. You will also be involved in the details regarding pricing and contracts by recommending price increases to the Business Unit Sales Manager on existing business.
Background & Skills
To be successful in this position, you need a degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering as well as a few years of practical experience from a technical Sales, technical Support or Engineering position in the Danfoss Power Solution target markets (mobile off-highway, hydrostatics, automotive or similar market). Furthermore, we are looking for:
- Technical expertise of the Business Unit’s products
- Knowledge of the Danfoss Power Solutions target markets and applications
- Formal commercial training is a plus (contracting, negotiations etc.)
- Ability to work in international team environments
- Great communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to find compromises between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests
- Fluent in written and spoken English, German or French language skills would be a plus
- Willingness to travel is required (approx. 40% within EMEA region)
